Well Ive been complaining about pack/box prices for years, I long for $.35 packs of 15 cards! On the other hand I love to pull a gu or auto and even low numbered cards for that matter. For the last few years though Ive just bought low end stuff and bought the high end cards off ebay, most of the players I like arent that popular so I get some great deals.
The problem these days is people forget this is a 'hobby' not a get rich quick scheme. I collect for the sheer enjoyment of it, and I regularly trade in others favor because bv doesnt matter to me.
A month or so ago I bought a pack of Topps Pristine and Ive got to say that Id rather have 3 of the $9.95 retail blasters than a $29.95 pack of Pristine anyday. but thats just my opinion I could be wrong lol.

pk, regarding the poll question at the beginning of this thread, I'm still not clear on exactly what this "damage" is that needs repairing. Is it that the prices of some cards are not where some people think they should be? If so, then maybe we should use our voices to do something about the "damage" in the housing, automobile, healthcare, etc. industries? (unless you're comfortable with housing, automobile, healthcare prices and uncomfortable with certain card prices, lol) Keep those articles coming--I do like reading about the hobby.:)
