Looks like they cut part of his head off. May be a centering problem. He would be better off getting it out of there and selling it without grading.

2007 spa's have alot of flaws on them this year. If you look at them with a 10X loupe you can see alot of flaws. I have noticed alot of edges being chipped up, but since the top and sides of the card are white they look good to the naked eye until you see them with a loupe. The surfaces also have alot of dents and smudges also. I have not found any 2007's that I would personally send in for grading.

my point is though, does a BGS grade on a brand new card REALLY increase the value???

the AP's were selling for $600-750....and this guy could have probably gotten that

now he's be lucky to get $500 for that

SPA is common to have alot of flaws on them. Since the cards are so thick and they are on card autos where they are handled alot.

Yes, absolutely if it's a 9.5 or 10. Anything below a 9 actually decreases the value. I'm surprised the seller didn't send it in with a minimum grade requirement.

That sucks. If I had sent that in, I'd crack it out of the case. The 7.5 grade seriously devalues that card.

Can't really tell from the pic, but the card looks pretty good to me (but I'm no expert).
Sometime BGS just blows it with their grading...plain and simple.
Example: A few years back I sent in a Peyton Manning Topps Chrome RC to be graded by Beckett. Came back graded a BGS6. The main reason was for flawed corners.
I completely disagreed and called them to complain. They told me that I could send it back and regrading. I did. It came back regraded a BGS9!!!! True story.
