The Clinton Campaign caught again
"April 6, 2008
Clinton drops hospital story from stump speech
(CNN) — Hillary Clinton’s campaign says the candidate will stop telling the story of an uninsured pregnant woman who lost the baby and died after being denied medical care, following a hospital raising questions over its accuracy."
Full Story on CNN
----------------------
Apparently, Clinton had been using this story of an uninsured woman in support of her universal healthcare. Turns out the woman was insured and was at no point denied medical care of any kind.
Just another in a long list of "misspoken" facts and stories (aka lies) for her. But one little story is no big deal as long as she's just trying to do good right? How many lies does it take for people to realize that this woman has no character or conscience and will say whatever she needs to in order to get what she wants?
So many people are tired of Bush and "his lies," yet they want to vote for someone who has already been caught in more lies than Bush has in 8 years...

Obama grabbed me at first b/c he is a great speaker, but I found myself not listen to him at first and when I pay attention him and clintons policies are almost the same. And McCain represents our NATIONAL SECURITY TO THE FULLEST, however w/ McCain u lose some things on the economical scale, but I'm RON PAUL all the way...but must go w/ McCain b/c clinton scares me and obama is sketchy!..
and that's all I got to say 'bout that(Forest Gump)

This is just another example of Hillary believing everything her staff tells her. Her credibility continues to suffer with stories of sniper fire in Bosnia, campaigning in Ohio and Florida (off limit states by the DNC) and now this story. Like I have said in the past, I don't think I can vote for Obama, but at least he is not making up story to get elected. He seems more honest and sincere while Hillary is simply intoxicated with power. I will consider Obama, but right now my vote will go to McCain.

I agree with that 100%...I know I couldn't vote for Obama because I disagree with his position on many issues, but he does seem very sincere and seems like he genuinely wants to try to make things right instead of just be the most powerful person in America. Everything I've seen of Hillary, from her first days as first lady to now, gives me the impression that she is cold, emotionless, and will say anything people want to hear to get power. And everyone is enamored by her universal healthcare program, but they forget that she's already tried that when she was first lady and it failed miserably.
I found this quote the other day in Forbes that sums up my thoughts on universal healthcare, high taxes, high-minded gov social programs, etc: "The command-and-control, state-run economics experiment was tried. It was called the Soviet Union. If you hadn't noticed, it was a miserable failure."
I don't agree with McCain on several things, but he seems like the lesser of 3 evils to me. It seems that the Republican party is migrating towards the middle in order to capture votes, which bothers me...but I guess that's the way with everything today, heading towards mediocrity. Say what you will about Bush, but he's a religious, conservative (except for gov spending) person who stands by his convictions...and I respect that. I know you have to try to appeal to as many people as possible to get the votes, but that bothers me because most people have no idea what they're talking about (see the thread w/the Women's Suffrage video) and get all of their info from CNN, MSNBC, etc...
Ah the joys of Democracy!

This was on the local news last night! The story is about someone that I don't guess lives too far from me. That part of Ohio I guess gets our news. They had the mayor on there interviewing him yesterday.

Yes, Hillary has lied about some things....but what it comes down to (for me anyways), is what he/she wants to do with this country--and for me--the war in Iraq.
That's where Hillary beats out Obama. Obama wants to just bring everyone home immediatley--pretty unrealistic if you ask me. Hillary at least said that yes, she wants to bring them home, but won't set a timeframe, because it may take a little longer than necessary. At least Hillary seems like a realist....Obama is saying some things that are pretty unrealistic.

I definitely understand what you're saying, you like Hillary's position on the issues better than Obama's...which is what people should be looking at.
But what you said is part of my point...no one knows what she will really do because she just tells people what they want to hear.
People want to hear how the next President will provide for their healthcare, so Hillary tells them a story about a pregnant woman and her baby died because she didn't have insurance and how she will not let that happen...but it didn't happen.
People want to hear that she's been on the front lines and will be strong when that critical moment comes, so she tells them how she landed under sniper fire in Bosnia and has had experience answering "that call at 3AM"...but she didn't land under sniper fire and she just told Bill to get the damn phone, rolled over, and went back to sleep when that call came in (that part I might've made up
).
When the whole Monica thing was going on, people wanted to hear that she was a victimized wife who was being strong and standing by her husband, so she told people she was shocked at the incidents, but she loves her husband and will stand by him...when really she knew how Bill was from past incidents, knew what was going on w/Monica, tried to keep Monica away from Bill so she wouldn't have to deal with an embarrassing incident, and didn't really care that he was doing this stuff...but she knew standing by him and remaining first lady was the best way to advance her political career.
I am impressed with her stance on Iraq, that does seem very reasonable of her...but I'm not sure you can believe it or anything else she says for that matter....
That ended up being a lot longer than I had planned....sorry about that! I have a tendency to be a little verbose in case you haven't noticed.

You're right, I agree 100%. I guess we'll never know until one is actually President, as to what they actually do, opposed to what they say they are going to do.
