SCF Survivor: MLB #2

Hey SCFers! Ready for another round of SCF Survivor--MLB style?

How To Play:

1) Post the name of only one team every day that you think will win that day's game. If your team wins, you'll stay alive to guess for the next day. If your team loses, you're eliminated. If fail you to make a guess for a particular day's games, you're eliiminated. Posting only "New York" or "Los Angeles" or "Chicago" will disqualify you if both NY/LA/Chicago teams are playing that day. It is strongly recommended that you post both the team's city and nickname.

2) Editing of guesses will disqualify that player. If you want to change your guess, simply make a new post before the stated deadline.

3) Your streak will not end if your team's game is rained out or otherwise just not played. Your streak will simply be a day behind but you will not be eliminated until you make an incorrect guess. You may continue to make guesses until eliminated.

4) Check this first post each day to see which MLB games are scheduled from which you may guess. Games will be posted and standings updated after each day's games.

5) New tweak #1: The total prize pool will be determined by the total number of contest participants. SCF will furnish 20 cc (CardCash) to the prize pool per participant who makes a guess from the MLB teams playing Monday April 14.Thus if 30 members make a guess before the Monday April 14 deadline, they are officially in the contest and the SCF-supplied prize pool will be 600 cc.

6) Survive the longest and win! Top 3 survivors will win a share of cc as follows:

Top survivor: 1/2 of total prize pool
2nd best survivor: 1/3 of total prize pool
3rd best survivor: 1/6 of total prize pool

7) Ties: Participants who tie each other will share the cc prize equally. For instance if there is a tie for 2nd best survivor, then the 2nd best survivor and 3rd best survivor prizes pools will be added together and then divided between the tying participants.

8)Tweak #2: Any participant who survives 10 MLB games (a 10-game streak) wins a 50 cc bonus. A 20 cc bonus will also be awarded for EACH correct guess that extends the 10-game streak. Thus, a 15-game streak will win you 150 cc (50 + 20 + 20 + 20 + 20 + 20 = 150 cc)! So put some thought into your guesses...
