    SCF Tuff Stuff Article

If you haven't gotten the May issue of Tuff's Stuff's Sports Collector Monthly I recommend you take a look! SCF is a featured article (with Trader Retreat) on page 22 titles "No Retreat in Sight". Our full page ad is on page 23. :)

I would personally like to thank Dean Listle, Brian Earnest, Scott Kelnhofer and the rest of the Tuff Stuff staff for the great article and magazine! Post any comments you have after reading the article here!

Everyone always tells me they over price stuff and their book values are inacurate... all kinds of people are always like " i suggest you get beckett" but ive been with tuff stuff for years.. I wouldn't consider Beckett any better than Tuff Stuff. It is a matter of taste. For me Beckett and Tuff Stuff values are values I use in trading cards. If someone asked me to use Tuff Stuff value over Beckett I would oblige as long as we used the same price guide every time. I wouldn't want to deal with someone that looks to use a price guide based on what gave him/her the advantage.

Personally, I like Tuff Stuff better because of the articles. Both have a lot of adverting, but Beckett seems like everything is paid.

If anything, Beckett copied Tuff Stuff with the way they do their magazine. Their new guide with all sports under one cover was what people liked about Tuff Stuff. You didn't have to buy 5 magazines. I really do like the new Beckett format though!

    Mike,
Thing is why would Beckett go to the TUFF STUFF way of 5 the new pricing in all one issue? As how many people complained about this with TUFF STUFF being the same way. I am thinking a lot of people will roll with the punch and not complain like they did in the past. I not yet got my new issue yet but we shall see.

p.s. Remember Andrew posted how he quit as he did not like the new format. I think there may be a few more collectors that quit getting their subscription for the new format. Time will tell how the collectors truly feel about the new layout.

Oddly enougn, Tuff Stuff is kind of hard to find in my neck of the woods (Pasadena, Calif.). Luckily they do carry it at my favorite store (Fry's Electronics), lol.
