    That's pretty weird. It could possibly be a shadow or something, but it could actually be real too. Anything's possible.

    For the sake of argument, let's say that this window acts as a portal between the two worlds. Why does this spirit have to be Jesus? Why not one of the other billions of people with a beard and long hair who died?

    I think it goes back to what I said: people see what they want to see. How many of us know some guy with a beard and long hair? The tendency is to associate things with something familiar, in this case Jesus (at least for Christians). Plus the whole idea that spirits and religion go hand in hand, at least in some cases.
