bought my first car
After all of these years of using public transportation or walking to where I needed to go I got my drivers license in January..
I have been looking for a car since then and really couldn't find anything I liked or that was cheap enough that I thought I could afford..Anything I did see that was cheap either needed alot of repairs that would have cost a good bit of money to get done..
On my way home from work this past Sunday I walked past a car lot so I decided to stop and look to see what they had..I found a 1991 Chevy Cavalier that I really liked the look of..So Wednesday after I took my Son to school I went back over to this car lot and asked if I could look at the car, the owner of the lot brought out the keys and left me take it for a test drive..
I was going through a job training program here and if you complete the program and get a job they will pay up to $2,500.00 for a car for you for getting a job and completing the program..So I called the case manager and told her I found the car and was very intertesed in it so I went and picked up the paperwork and took it to the car dealer to fill it out so I could turn it in..
I was off work today and this morning my phone rang and it was the car dealer saying he got the check from the job program and I could pick up the car anytime I wanted, needless to say I went right over and picked the car up after I went and got insurance through a local agent and got the insurance card for the car..
Thanks EdI only trade by Beckett price guide, not eBay comp or SV, TV..I also do not collect any Panini or Donruss Baseball products..

sweet...atleats that 4 cylinder willl treat you good. My V8 has been stealing my money everytime I seat in it. Even the Flex fuel is expensive. I am trying to invest in a Motorcycle. Yea, on some you have to use the 93 octane but 40-50miles a gallon on a 5 gallon tank...you cant beat that.
My first car was a 91 Buick v6...gas was about $2 cheaper.

I have a Chevy Cavalier as well, although a 2000. Durable cars and pretty good gas mileage. Congrats on your purchase!

Ed, Isn't great that you can now leave for work, appts or whatever 15 minutes or so instead of an hour to make sure you make it on time. Cars are great till the first time you gas it up and have to take a mortgage out on your house just to pay for it!
