One of the rumors floating around is that Gamestop got a batch of bad discs. I don't know if that is true or not but everyone who has posted at avs has said that they have a 60GB PS3 and they bought the game at Gamestop.

yeah I don't hold that "Bad batch" theory true though, these games are mass produced and then split equally among each distributor. If that were true that it was only gamestop games then it means that every game that gamestop recieved was produced exclusively for Gamestop which I just can't believe would be the scenario.

yeah but regardless it sucks ... I have the game sitting here on my desk at work and I'm keeping my fingers crossed it works. I have the 40GB PS3 and so far it looks as though the majority is coming from the 20, 60 and 80GB PS3's .... I am really starting to wonder if it has anything to do with the backwards compatablility programming that is in each of those models ... the 40GB is the only PS3 that doesn't have BWC. ?????

Mine works great for my 360. Only got to play a couple missions last night but it's good so far! And I got Special Edition!

I am going to buy it tonight after dinner for the 360. Prolly the only game I will buy till NHL09 comes out.

Got mine played it all last night. WOW. what a game, Everything I heard and then more. This lives up to the hype and passes it. Game of the year. Thought I was watching a blockbuster movie with the way they started the game. AWSOME, if you own a 360 or a PS3 you gotta own this game.

Well after hearing of all the problems about freezing I got home last night, waited for the boss lady and the babies to hit the bed and then I threw it in and crossed my fingers ... I must say it's a very slow load time on the PS3 because the whole game downloads to the HD. BUT ... after it loaded I must say the game is definitely a hit. I haven't done much so far but I tooled around the city a bit, jacked some cars and had a nice shootout with some coppers ... I can't say I'd rate it 10/10 yet like IGN but it's definitely up there with game of the year for sure!!
