Rookie Designation
Maybe this has been covered before but what is the general feeling out there regarding MLB's mandate of putting the rookie card logo on cards?
I personally like it because you don't have to memorize players or carry around a baseball card alamanac. It was just to confusing before. How can a guy be a rookie, and not even have played in the big leagues? Am I crazy or what?

i like it, i think it is helpful... and in other sports i like it too. i think it makes sense having a card labeled as rookie even if they have not played because of i think of a "rookie" card as just the player's first card for that brand.

I like it....it's easier when looking at cards trying to find rookies especially!

I like it, but I miss the days of Topps Traded and Bowman Draft sets where you could get RCs of all the year's draft picks. Prospecting is my favorite part of collecting.

I guess what I am trying to say is that if they have no professional experience it should not be considered a rookie card.

I can understand that, but shouldn't the first card made for a player be the rookie card? cuz if that player is in the minors, and a card is produced, by topps, and it's the first card for that player, w/o the RC logo, and that player makes it to the big leagues in a few years, and they then produce a RC of that guy AFTER a non-RC is produced....that would have many people confused, I think
