Bail set for man wanted in Vegas shooting, extortion case

KENT, Wash. (AP)—A man accused of shooting three people outside a Las Vegas strip club and then extorting money from professional football player Adam “Pacman” Jones has been ordered held on $1 million bail.

Arvin Kenti Edwards, of Renton, declined to appear in King County Superior Court on Wednesday. He’s being held for investigation of being a fugitive from justice pending his extradition to Nevada.

Police there say Edwards opened fire after a brawl at the Minxx strip joint in February 2007, and that he later demanded $15,000 from Jones for “services rendered.” Jones, who says he didn’t order the hit, declined to pay, but he did reimburse a friend after the friend paid the money on Jones’ behalf.

If Adam Jones, the friend he reimbursed, or an eyewitness to the transaction didn't tell yahoo that, then it's just hearsay. How can they just print that sentence like that and say nothing else? Or did Pacman actually admit to paying this guy 15 grrr for the hit?

I'd also like to see Tank Johnson accidentally pack his guns in with his luggage and head to the airport...Switzer style.
