NJ just fired Byron Scott, b/c Nets management didn't have the testicular fortitude to stand up to Jason Kidd, who is one of the most over-rated players in NBA in past 10 years. Kidd and Scott couldn't get along, so the coach, as usual, gets fired. Byron has 2-3 championship rings, was a TREMENDOUS shooting guard for the Lakers during the 7-8 years he was there. What's Jason Kidd done? He was part of the failed Mashburn/Jim Jackson/Kidd trio in Dallas, did nothing in while playing for Phoenix, then when he got the chance in the NBA Finals, played as well as I could've played.

Here is a supposedly "great" point guard, who can't shoot worth a lick, had horrible games in the NBA finals, and still got that outrageous 7-yr, $100M contract. Sure, Kidd is a great passer; but when it's clutch time, he misses much more often than he makes. If Kidd played well in last year's Finals, the Nets could've beaten the Spurs.

Here's hoping Byron Scott is hired by the Lakers, as he could be next-in-line behind Phil Jackson.
