Beckett Sports Card Monthly Review
I received a free Beckett Sports Card Monthly at a card show I recently attended and decided to write up a brief review for you all.

So I flip open the new Beckett and come across Hot Lists for Baseball, Basketball, Football, Hockey and Racing. Followed by an article on the 50 greatest autograph cards. Wow I wish I had some of those autos, like #8 on the list: 2000-01 SP Authentic Sign of the Times #HOG Howe/Orr/Gretzky! This is followed by the Readers Rock section, really enjoyed the "Things I Miss" section. The rest of the magazine was broken into sections by sport.
BASEBALL
Baseball contained an article on Griffey, "Cards that Matter", New & Notes, Readers Write, Previews (2008 UD Series 2 & 2008 Topps Triple Threads), Reviews (2008 Topps Heritage & 2008 Topps Moments and Milestones), Baseball Autograph Price Guide and more articles followed by 17 pages of Baseball Card Price Guide. The price guide contains pricing on mostly 2007 & 2008 sets with a few extras thrown in.
BASKETBALL
Basketball contained the same sort of content as Baseball with Reviews of 2007-08 UD Blackand 2007-08 SP Authentic and Previews of 2007-08 Ultimate Collection and 2007-08 Topps Lettermen. There were 13 pages of Basketball Price Guide including a mix of sets: from 1948 Bowman to the 2007-08 sets, with the bulk of the pages on newer sets.
FOOTBALL
Football same as B&B. Reviews were 2007 SP Authentic & 2007 Exquisite Collection. Previews were 2008 Playoff Prestige, 2008 Topps Rookie Progression, and 2008 Press Pass SE. There were 17 pages of Football Price Guide including a variety of sets starting with 1991 Stadium Club with most focused on 2007 sets.
HOCKEY
Hockey had same content as the other sports with Reviews for 2007-08 UD Ice and 2007-08 Hot Prospects. The preview for hockey is for the much anticipated 2007-08 ITG Superlative. Price guide for hockey was 14 pages starting with 2005-06 Black Diamond and contained a good selection of sets.
RACING
Racing had previews for 2008 Press Pass Premium and 2008 Press Pass Stealth. Racing had a 5 page price guide plus a 4 page diecast price guide.
Stashed at the end were 1 page price guides for Golf, Wrestling, and Tennis.
Overall more content then I had expected with a decent selection of newer pricing for all the major sports. Hope you found this useful! :)

Do you guys like the new style? I just think it is a waste, and just wait for quarterly PLUS, but then you are waiting 3 months to get up to date products, so they have you there. What are your thoughts?
