    My Racing Weekend

Well my Race Weekend started Thursday night at Green Valley Speedway in near by Glencoe, AL where they ran modifieds and late models. Special Guest was Kenny Wallace...Kenny signed 7 different cards for me and I gave him a stack of about 10 and 2 young kids a card each cause they didnt have anything and their folks werent gonna buy em anything. It was a fun night and Im sure I will be going to Green Valley for some of their weekly stuff in the future....man those nachos were spot on...

Friday I was at Talladega for the last 2 practices and the Nationwide Qualifying...was thrilled as Tony took the pole! Got alot of sun and drank some beer and let me warn any coming to Dega in the future...the cheeseburgers are to be avoided....UGH

Saturday was Sprint Cup Qualifying and the Nationwide race. My Dad went with me and we had a blast. I posted a pic of me and Dad in the Show and Tell section and its also on my freewed site linked below. We were happy with Tony's qualifying run and it almost stood as the pole til Joe Nemechek came out of nowhere with a great lap. PJ Jones qualified Robbys car since he was finishing the CER in Europe and just didnt show the speed it had in practice. We brought our lunch - Subway and got alot of envious stares from the people eating those nasty cheeseburgers. The Nationwide race was also a blast with Tony in the lead most of the race. As Tony came across the finish line me and Dad were going crazy which got alot of ugly stares from the Pro Jr crowd. More sun, no beer - my Dad's a minister and I dont drink in front of him out of respect, and man those Subways were good.

Sunday - I overslept but still got to the track in plenty of time. With Tony leading much of the race, I didnt listen to his scanner much cause he doesnt talk when leading. Listened to Robby's and that was a treat and a half. I know now why I like Robby so much...he's alot like me LOL. Anyway disappointed when Tony got wrecked out, decent day for Robby who fought hard to get back his lap and salvage a great day, and Happy for a JGR car winning. Not as much sun, more beer, the Italian Sausage is HIGHLY recommended...
