New to Collecting

I'm very new to collecting . I have gotten cards(basic stuff) off and on for a while, but a friend and I just started like really collecting.Right now we mostly go for NBA cards(play-offs Man!), but we(2 different collections, not one dual collection) will probably branch out to Football during football season.

Starting out, I especially like Topps. I was very pleasantly suprised Monday to recieve my first auto, which I pulled from a Topps NBA 07-08 Jumbo Pack(my brand of choice). I pulled a Glen Davis RC Auto (from the NBA rookies photo shoot). It is #'ed to 100.It is Awesome! I don't have a photo, but I had to brag about the first gem of my collection.Thanks

Yeah, I only bought that one pack at the time. He does seem like he could be pretty good if he sees the court more often.
