I've seen a few traders sending in PWE's more because of the cost of bubble mailers and I'm just wondering, does anyone else recycle bubble mailers?

I do and haven't bought one in over a year. I carefully open them when I get them and tape up the top with packing tape when I reship them. I also use online postage so that makes a nice large label that covers all the previous shipping info.

Not to be all GREEN on you but it's good for the environment AND saves you money so thats a win/win. ;)

Just a suggestion if you hadn't really thought about doing that!

Well actually i do reuse bubble mailers but not to use as a reship method but to use as insulation/protection+for DC purpose's, as far as cost in concerned for bubble mailers out here(California) i get them 5 for $1 so i basically get $5 bux worth and that normally last's me for a while but i did used to reship bubble mailers i used to get in but not anymore, if you or anyone needs mailers i will gladly pick some up and you all just pay the shipping cost and the $1 per each 5 you need so lmk if i can help

Lately, I've been using these really small bubble mailers that can hold a few cards. They were given to me in bulk by free from my boss. With larger packages I reuse bubble mailers. I've been doing this since 2005. I cut one end of the bubble mailer and when I want to reuse it I staple that end. I then place the bubble mailer into another envelope ($2 for 25 envelopes I think).

Since I started collecting and trading cards, I have never had to buy a bubble mailer. I started out buying cards on SCF and when I get the cards, I save the mailers for trading and the rest is history.

i'd say check out wal mart, this is where i have found the cheapest packs in person. $1.09 should buy you like 2 or 3 bubble mailers. also, people say on ebay you can find some good deals for bulk if you want to look online.

I do the same thing. I have boxes of PWE but also some Bubble Mailers. sometimes I use a custom made padded PWE. As you said, we need to save the Earth and money.

Yea I do it too...also for tips for others

Make sure you cross out the other trader's address and name with a Black Sharpie
out of courtesy and respect for the other trader

Also it's a good idea so you don't confuse the USPS. I always recycle mailers and addressed the back side, forgetting to cross out the address from the original. I shipped and they used the original address and delivered it back to me. lol.

As far as recycling, I do 100%. I run an eBay store and ship about 100 items a month and haven't bought bubble mailers in years. I work at a fairly large company and grab the large Fedex/UPS bubble mailers that people get here and reuse them. We also get lots of boxes and packing so about the only thing I buy when it comes to shipping is tape. It helps me save a ton of money and gets a second usage out of land fill filler.

I cut the bubble mailers to the size of PWE and place the cards between them in the PWE.
