Is search still messed up ?

Can someone explain why I'm getting almost no new hits when searching for a word ? Does it have something to do with the search cloud ? I used to get 20-30 new hits every day, now virtually zero.


ALSO, I went to post a trade, using the link on the left while in pm's, and I can't do it because my trading partner doesn't have the cards in his inventory and nor do I. Do we now have to add cards to our inventory in order to make a trade ?

Use the third selection a.k.a old trade manager.

Search is an issue because of the database being so big. I will look at adding a Google search that will be first rate.

Maybe I'm just dense but the only choices I see on the control panel are ......... List Trades, List Recent Trades, Post Trade and Dispute Area. "post trade" is the third choice but when I use it there's no place to simply type in the trade. The only "choice" I have is to select cards from inventory.

Like I said maybe I'm just dense but, if you want my honest opinion, these changes kinda stink. Sure, it's wonderful to add social groups, new avatars, bigger banners, customizable profiles, having a "search cloud", features I can turn on and off, yada yada yada. But what good is all that stuff when I can't post a trade without jumping thru hoops, and I can't even get any hits when I search for a keyword ? It seems that all these social networking features have distracted the powers that be from the site's primary purpose, TRADING CARDS.

EDIT: Thanks nascards, but I think I've got it now. Why is it "improvements" and "upgrades" always seem to mean "more complicated" and less intuitive to the point of "see the tutorial" ? Never needed a tutorial before, the site was simple, user friendly, and self explanatory. My suggestion, for what it's worth, KEEP IT SIMPLE.
