Where do you buy your cards?

Just wondering where most SCF members buy the main part of their sportscards... online, local hobby shop or retail store?

I'm guessing most local shops are more expensive than online stores as they have more overhead and aren't able to buy huge amounts of product like the online stores but wondering if you still buy there or if you buy online to get them cheaper. I am an impulse buyer myself and usually end up buying them locally. I also like to support my local shops when I can.

I get my boxes at hobby shops, but I haggle a lot. I even bring my iPhone to show them that they charge way more than online shops and they sell it to me for $100 less than MSRP, lol.

when i was younger i bought it from local hobby shops.it takes 30 seconds to get there and i was across the street neighbor of the store owner.

ive been offered 2 free packs of cards from to different card store owners.i turned them both down.to think of it why did i not take them?any kid would like free packs of cards.

havent bought much online.but in my earlier days it was alot of hobby shopping.

Yeah, when i was a kid it was all hobby shop, because I was really friendly with one and this was before the internet was really available as a place to buy from. sadly that shop closed :( i still have another one near me, but it doesn't have the same feel to it, i do go there probably once a month or 2 months, just check out the boxes of single cards for sale and pick up a pack or 2. i mainly go for supplies.

my answer was retail, it seems like i buy most packs there because i shop so much at target lol, it's kinda like hey i'm in the store, why not.. so i guess it is convenient.

I buy singles online (mainly from eBay, but also here on SCF sometimes). When I do buy boxes/packs (which I don't normally do - haven't busted anything in months), I do so at my local card shop.

I buy 90% of my wax at shows. You really can't beat the prices and sometimes you get really lucky and get them at or below cost. When there's a long break in between shows I'll pick up a box or two online.
