    Synopsis:
    After the success of the films in the Matrix series, the Wachowski Brothers return to the director's chair with this adaptation of the classic cartoon. INTO THE WILD's Emile Hirsch jumps into the Mach 5 car as Speed Racer, while John Goodman and Susan Sarandon play his parents. Christina Ricci costars as Speed's girlfriend Trixie, and Matthew Fox (LOST) is Racer X, his biggest competitor.

    I was starting to think Emile Hirsch could be turning into one of those actors who I look forward to seeing after Into the Wild, Alpha Dog, and the Girl Next Door....looks like I may have judged too soon. I love stylized, CGA movies (Sin City, 300, etc), but this just looks way too over the top for me...it looks like a Skittles commercial! And somehow I don't think this will be quite as mind-blowing as the Matrix.
