Same opinion here. Just because you make millions doesn't mean you have to take care of everyone and start giving away money every where u go.

I'd tip 20% ($160) if I was a multi-millionaire and spent $800 dollars on a meal.
I already tip 20% and I'm a poor college student.
U said it man, thats just doing the right thing.

I used to be a waiter, and I can tell you that the average total time from seating to cleanup for dinner at a nice restaurant is about 60 minutes for a party of four, and about 10 minutes more for each additional guest. That time is important, because servers need you to get lost after you're done, because if you don't, you're not letting a new party have the table, and thus costing the server money in tips. This is especially important if you have a very large party, because they need more attention, which prevents the server from waiting on any other tables at the same time (they usually have two or three at once). So if you bring in a big group, monopolize the server's attention, don't leave after a reasonable amount of time, and don't leave a reasonable tip, you are doing that person a severe disservice. I don't care if you ARE Luhbrawn James, and think that the privilege of breathing the same air as you is reward enough.

LeBron has apparently sent over an appropriate tip following a "misunderstanding"

glad to see he sent them a proper tip!

this is the reason why famous people need to act straight outside in the world.
everywhere they go, everything they do is a talk in town and certainly misbehavior such as this will be a huge gossip for everyone to talk about.
This is why I think celebrities need to "show off" that they are rich by tipping way over regular rate because even if they tip regular, people expect to receive a lot more than the regular rate.
That's just how everything works. lol
Just like Gary Sheffield, Lebron should've done the same.
pretty shameful

20% gratuity for a group is included in the final bill total
i think its BS unless lebron took the time to subtract the gratuity.
