Those have BV's of $250 and $200 UNgraded. Nice additions to my collection of test refractors.

whats funny is the amount of the supposed test refractors are out there....I think Topps is full of it sometimes...nice cards though :)

Yeah there was this rare test refractor I bought and I thought it was pretty rare and then some seller listed like 10 of these things lol.

congrats on your pick up... i too want to know the story. how do you know if it is a "test" refractor or not?

Test refractors were not supposed to be released to the public. They weren't inserted into packs, so there are no odds on pulling them. Individual collectors somehow acquired them from Topps and began selling them, which is why they rarely show up, but when they do, it's in large numbers. If I remember correctly, only the huge annual edition of Beckett prices them, so if you look in a regular edition and don't see a refractor parallel for a certain set, it's probably a test refractor.

that's interesting, i wonder how people acquired them... maybe if they had friends who worked at topps or owners of card shops.
