Cheap Shot Rob At His Finest
Robert Horry's pick/foul/cheap shot on David West. What do you guys think? It looks like Horry leaned into the back of West, but either way that looks painful.

It wasn't really a cheap shot in my opinion but Robert Horry as well as Manu are dirty players and aren't really any good.

That wasn't a cheap shot! It was a hard screen. What has the NBA come to when physical contact means its an automatic cheap shot? West is at fault for keeping his back to his man. All the post game comments by espn commentators adn others said it was not a cheap shot. Of course, Spurs haters are going to twist this to death.

David West's comments.
“It was almost like when you see that blindside of a quarterback,” West said. “He just caught me really clean, and my guard was down, because I didn’t know anybody was behind me.”
I've had that happen to me. It looks a lot worse then it actually is.
And as for the Spurs fans chanting "Horry", power to them. Payback for the constant booing by New Orleans fans...payback for the cheering and booing when Tony Parker was laid out on the court after a hard foul...his head hitting the court. Uh huh.

I didn't think this was a cheap shot; just saw an article and found this video and thought I'd share it. I've had taken (too) many shots from basketball and football to my head, back, quads, etc, but I just thought the play looks nastier on video.
I'm not a Spurs fan, but I'm not a Spurs hater either.

Plenty of people out there are going to twist this incident into their own anti-Spur propaganda. That's my problem.
Reading comments by Byron Scott, Chandler, and Paul, they seem to believe it was a cheap shot and are hating on the Spurs fans for chanting "Horry". They didn't directly say it was a cheap shot, but the hint is there.

Setting a solid back screen is not a dirty play. However, two things that gave me the impression this is dirty:
1 - How often do you see someone set a screen on their own man. If Horry drilled Paul in the back so Parker gets to the basket, that's one thing. But setting a pick on his own defender, when 2) there was no reason to set a screen at all. Who was he setting the screen for? There's not a Spur heading in his direction. The play is going away from them to the corner.

its just a big debate because Horry did it.
Remember last year's playoff when he knocked down Nash and got Diaw and Amare suspended for a game?
People just want to talk about it bc its the Spurs and they have Bowen and Horry who plays physical.
If you are playing the Spurs, you have to know these are coming. They play physical and it's just part of the game.
Either way, I still love Horry as a Lakers fan and it's always good watching his game winner in the Kings series lol (Along with Fisher's 0.4 sec shot)
