Finally: SP Rookie box from Wally World
Bout time my Wal-Mart carried these. They had one box and I couldn't resist...
Okay, play by play:
First impression- kinda trivial, but I like boxes that open from the side like this, as opposed from the top. That way I can repack the cards in there easier.
Pack One: Cool pack design, cool card design. I like 'em.
Base: POW Gausol, Mo' Pete, Eddy Curry
Rooks: Spencer "Whitey" Hawes
Inserts: Premier Prospects: Yao Mi....no, hang on. its Yi Jianlian.

Cant find a entry for "Premier PRospects Yi Jianlian" card (or any SP Rookie "Premier Prospects", for that matter) over at Beckett collections...anybody know what up?

Base: Lebron James (whoever that is), Andre Miller, Duncan, Larry Hughes
ROoks: Julian Wright
Inserts: none
good pack. nothing fancy, but Lebron, Duncan, and Julian make it nice.

Pack 4: Things are looking up here...
Base: Ben Gordon, Dwayne Wade, Bosh
Rooks: Javaris Crittendon
Inserts: Premier PRospects Marco Belinelli. Unlike the Prem. Prospects Yi Jianlian in action card, this one is a pic of him sitting(?) there with a Golden State hat on.

Gotta run. (playing ball before dark with kids.) back to finish break after hoops and dinner.
Ok, Im back. To consolidate posts, I'll finish it one post. Here goes...
Pck 5:
Base- Caron Butler, T.J. Ford, Rashard Lewis, Chris Paul,
Rooks- Taurean Green
Inserts- none
Shux. not thrilled (altho down with C3-PO), but two left, with one "hot pack" guaranteed.
Pack 6:
Base- Dwight "supaman" Howard, Big Ben Wallace, Steve Nash (hoorah!), Jermaine O'Neal
Rooks- Kevin Durant (double hoorah?)
Best pack yet. Indication of the goodness to come in the final one? bout to find out...
Pack 7: (Hot Pack)
Base- Rip Hamilton (As an aside, when eating wings last week, their was one of those bar-trivia contests going on that my son and I won 3rd place in, which had as one of the questions "what detroit piston has the most all-time playoff points for that team?" We guessed, correctly, Hamilton. But I digress).
Base continued- Shaq-a-licious, Joe Johnson (His 7th season already? I'm getting old), Lamarcus Aldridge
Rooks- Thaddeus Young (I'm down)
Inserts- SP Limited Jersey (color red) Daequan Cook. Hmm... At least he got called back up from the D-League.

they are $20, they're blasters with a guaranteed GU.
i might need some of your cards if they're for trade, I'll have to look at my need list.
what number was the Yi that you couldn't find in the price guide? i'll try to help.
