need some help from our expert panel
I need some help correctly identifying some of my cards. The cards in question are 1995 Traks cards. I have a few that look like base cards, nothing special about them. I also have some that are holofoil(?) or something to that effect. The "TRAKS" and the driver's name and the bars under the name are holofoil. I have gathered that they aren't the 5th anniversary cards or the first run cards since those words would be on the front left corner of the card. I tried looking on Beckett but I still can't figure out the difference. Can anyone clear this up for me?
Thanks,
Pete

Pete,
What are the numbers on the back? Are they numbered just like the commons? Stephen....

I know in my Todd Bodines from 1995 Traks, each card has a Base - silver foil, First Run - Gold foil and has FIRST RUN in upper left corner, and the Holofoil - just like the base except holofoiled. There is no difference on the backs whatsoever. I wasnt collecting Racing back then so I dont know how these were seeded in packs or anything like that. If need be, I can take a picture of the 3 versions

Stephen, the numbers look all the same. Carl, thanks for the info. I understand the first run bit. I have 1 first run from that set. I just can't find any info on the Holofoil cards. Beckett has no listing on them or that they exist. Like you said, there is no difference in the backs of the card. Is there a BV difference?

Easy one to answer, lol. There are basically TWO identical 75 card base sets (and two of the insert sets also), one was a hobby release and one was a retail release. The holofoil set was the "hobby" and the wrappers/box were blue in color, the retail was silver foil and the wrappers/box were red in color.
There were also 2 duplicate insert sets as well produced in both the holo and silver foils: Behind The Scenes & On The Rise
Hope this info helps. I have lots of both types of foil cards for trade and maybe someday I'll get back to trading and can help ya out if you need any!
BTW... this is yet another example of what Beckett (the #1 authority on collectibles -
YEAH RIGHT) is missing from their listings.
