    Jail Time for Overgrown Grass?

Almost daily I read articles on how the government continues to overstep their boundries. Today, I read about a city council that wants to pass a law that would place you in jail for 30 days for now mowing your lawn (for second offenses).

    Too far?

Imprisonment is a bit harsh, but I'm aware that many communities force lawn care. I think stricter fines should be handed out to those in communities with higher property values.

I think thats a good idea. I know last year there was several mini jungles around here. They were finally cut in the middle of summer. It makes things look bad and no one wants to live next to it. You never know what kind of creatures are living in it!

well if that happened to be a law in my area, it would be big trouble for my house. i was mowing the lawn and was restarting it up, and when i pulled the cord it completely ripped out so i cant mow right now. im to lazy to do it anyway, so my mom will proably pay someone to mow it now

No, it's not to far. I thnk these people drag my house value down with their none caring approach to their lawns. A lot of houses that are being foreclosed or abandoned are also having overgrown lawns. What's worse is Drug dealers moving into these homes. (Sorry a little off track) Some neighborhoods have come together to fight the unruly yards. I also know it's against the law in a few states to go on someone elses property to cut the grass. Your trespassing even if you think you are helping, who knows the Blue-Horn Loopy Swallowtail might live in that yard .

Sadly kids are not what they used to be.

I believe that there IS a law that says you have to mow your grass.

May steal that one, too (assuming it is, indeed, yours).
