    Old-school acquisitions

Vintage collectors should know the significance of these:

Those contain the second-year cards of Dominique Wilkins, Isiah Thomas and Charles Barkley. The white one also has a Dr. J in it.

    And the best of all:

1986 Star Best of the New. Patrick Ewing, Hakeem Olajuwon, Ralph Sampson and of course MJ. Book value for a bagged set: $450. Print run: 440. That may seem like a lot by today's standards, but in 1986 it was considered mind-blowingly rare.

Really cool, I haven't seen many vintage cards. They look mint as well, are they in good condition? Thanks for sharing!

The numbers were released by the company. The '85-86 set had a print run of 2200, and one Best of the Old set and one Best of the New set was given out for every five complete regular issue sets. 2200/5 = 440.
