    Crazy thing...

Well it was about 11 yesterday night and I was just sitting watching TV in my room. For about 10 minutes I could constantly hear sirens everywhere and I was home by myself so I decided to go check it out. So I looked through my kitchen window and across the backlane I could see flashing lights off my neighbour's fence (who is an elderly lady) once I saw that I just bolted out and ran across and went to see if she was okay. She was fine, fire trucks and cops were not there. They were about 8 houses down where people said there was a basement fire. At least 7 fire trucks and 4 cop cars were down the street. It turns out there were huge flames in the basement they took care of and across the backlane from these houses is a huge plant with lots of oil so of course they didn't want to take any chance with that. It was just so weird especially because I live in a pretty quiet town. However, earlier on they thought that it was a break in so even more cop cars were coming down the street and questioning people. It went on for at least two hours before everything was settled.

Fires are no fun. Pretty intense night they had though.

Sorry to ask, I feel dumb, but what's a backlane?? Isn't that something to do with a road in medieval times? Are you time-traveling?? LOL
