I am going to have to disagree with you, While I don't think he will be great, he is a skill player who will contribute to his team. Bush may not be an every down back but he does have the speed and agility to go the whole field on just about any play. Daniel.

I hate the word bust, as there are many different interpretations of it, but he is pretty close to the definition I use. He was a super stud before he even took a snap in the NFL, and his first couple of years have been average at best. I have always thought of him as a 'poor mans' Brian Westbrook, as I don't even see him reaching B's level. I think he will be a good player, he's just not a true #1 RB, but these days you need 2 RB's so he will still hold some value. He's a great athlete, can run and catch, he just doesn't have the power and the body to take 30 handoffs a game.

I agree that the biggest impact for SCF members is his card value. I would say his cards will take a huge decline in value over the next two years if he repeats his first two years. He is defiantly not a bust like a Ryan Leaf, but he is not worthy of such a high draft pick and the value his cards are at right now.

I'm not ready to declare him a bust. But, he's no Barry Sanders either. He never will be. He's a dual threat...742 yards receiving his rookie year. Will he ever rush for 1000 yards? Doesn't look like it.

Everybody, including the great Mel Kiper, Jr. had him ranked #1 coming out of college...The Saints were ecstatic to turn in that selection...so you definitely can't say he wasn't worth the number 1 pick...
Let's not forget that he is the face of the franchise for a post-Katrina New Orleans, and by all accounts, has done a tremendous job helping victims and New Orleans recover! That there alone should keep him from ever being mentioned in the same breath as Ryan Leaf! The Saints needed that 2006 season, and Bush was a big part of it! Also, don't forget he had a 90 yard touchdown in the NFC Championship game as a rookie...even AP can't say he did that!
I just think everybody expected him to be what Adrian Peterson was, and especially with most people taking card values into account on here, I think heads are starting to get a little nervous about their Reggie collection...haha! He was obviously overhyped, while AP should've been the #1 pick...
If anything, props need to be given to Charlie Casserly, the former Texans GM who didn't believe the hype, and took Mario Williams instead...Everyone second guessed him, and he eventually resigned before the 06 season even started...crazy

I think he was a lot better in college. He is a very skilled player but he is not a between the tackles RB, which you have to be somewhat to make it. I dont think he will ever be great.
