SAT Score Thread
I know there are some other people my age around here, has anyone else gotten their SAT score back yet?
I got a measly 1780.
What really killed me is that I only got a 500 on the math (45% in the National Percentile). I am over a year removed from taking any math class, so I attribute that to my low score. I am definitely going to be retaking the SAT next year to improve my math score as I will be taking both statistics and pre-calculus, and just being in a math class at the time of taking the SAT should improve my math score by 50-100 points.
I also could've done better on the reading, which I got a 570 on (71% in the National Percentile). As far as this goes, I just need better time management. I have the ability to get 650+.
No sweat on the writing though, I hit a home run with a 710 (97% in the National Percentile). I know I can pull this off every time though, which is why I will be retaking the SAT next year.

Yea, they added a writing part for another 800 points, they started that, the year I had to take the SATs.

Got myself a 2080: 800 for math, 750 for writing, 530 for reading. The first year this was implented, a 1700 was considered good; what is the standard now?

Well I read that 1530 is about the average score. I guess 1780 is good, I'm just mad because I know I can do better.

We, in the midwest, took the ACT which I think was on a scale of 32 or something. I got a 23 back in 1993. Quite weak. But whatever, I got into every school I applied to.
