Haven't seen the BV's (have the current beckett, just havent looked), but I think UD Black is just an over-priced set. It seems (to me anyway) that Upper Deck is attempting to make card-collecting a rich-man (woman)'s game....those aren't tradeable cards!
Not trying to be negative, and sorry if I come across that way, but I just see no need for a quad-auto'd patch 1/1

yea this is really not fair pricing. lets say you get these from your break
2007-08 UD Black 104 Spencer Hawes JSY AU RC $15.00 $30.00
2007-08 UD Black 105 Acie Law IV JSY AU RC $15.00 $30.00
you then just spent 300+ for 2 cards with bv's of a combined 60 and sv maybe 15?

how do they determine the pricing of a 1/1 anyway?? I know there not priced due to scarcity, but how is it different from a regular auto? Because they print '1/1' on it? That seems kinda funky to me....always has....I mean, sure, I've got #d cards, but I've never really gotten that part of the hobby

My break:
Ben Gordon Letterman auto /25--$60 BV
Morris Almond Ticket auto /50--$20 BV (Common auto)
Pretty bad to spend $215 and get $80 BV back...

That's just flat-out terrible! Theyre just out to make as much money as possible (as is everyone else, but they seem to be knowingly doing it)

Hence why so people voted for UD Black on my poll of the least rewarding product of the year.
