    I guess those stats about being more at risk during ground travel as opposed to the air is bearing out in more ways than one.

    Actually, some aircraft are designed with points that should break off (shear points) in ground collisions, runway runoffs, etc, but I'm not so sure if this is the case or just an overused, over abused aircraft that couldn't handle the stress after it ran off the end of the runway trying to abort

    Good point. I think that will all the operational costs of those arilines, they are starting to overused those planes and the people that are pying is us, the travelers
