just as the title says vote for whoever you believe is most overrated and then explain why. my vote is going to be for lebron james simply not because i dislike him but because he has been given so much hype that he will never live up to it

I would say Carmelo Anthony.
He is way much overrated than lebron is.
Lebron actually makes his team better but Melo doesnt

I think he already lived up to the hype. I don't really like LeBron all that much either but he is simply amazing. He truely is the next Michael Jordan in my eyes.

Shaq

Shaq definitely now....wasn't 3-4 years ago, but is now.
Carmelo is good, but too much controversy surrounding him with the on-court fight and the DUI...so, I'd also put him as overrated.

No way Lebron is overrated. If not for Lebron, when I go to school, everyone would still be laughing in my face when I tell them I'm a Cavs fan. He is the only reason they are no longer the laughing stock of the NBA. I'll admit he did blow it against Boston, but if not for him we wouldn't have even been in the playoffs. I'm not a big Lebron fan myself for certain reasons, but I will still dread the day he leaves the Cavs. But, back on topic, I think Shaq is pretty overrated.

One of the most dominate centers off all time is overrated?? U got me on that one. Maybe now since he's older, but thats not fair.

And Lebron is not overrated, the guy does everything out there. (I just wish he would flop/act less, he's too good for that)

Right now, Shaq is overrated. He may have been one of the best centers a few years ago, but he isn't the same as he was a few years ago, and right now I don't think he is one of the best centers in the league the way he is said to be.

There is no way Shaq is among the best anymore...he was, emphasis on was, the best, but he isn't any longer....the Suns gave up WAY too much for him....Marion alone was too much, but they threw in Marcus Banks too....guess that was to match up on salaries, but still....

So, yes, as of today, Shaq is overrated.

Most overrated? Greg Oden. The kid (is a 30 year old a kid? Oh, wait, he just looks 30 and is broken down like a 10 year vet) has yet to lace them up in the pros after a year of college ball, and I bet he's still a top 20 fantasy pick in a lot of draft EXPERTS eyes.
