So just got done with the book, it was decent and some new info.. If you want to read it probably don't want to see below..


Political Views

Gay Marriage-- Thinks that the goverment shouldn't recognize ANY marriage, they should only recognize all as civil unions and then it would be up to the church to label unions

Drugs -- Should be legal as they are only a crime on oneself, would cut down on a lot of street violance but would put prozac and some drug makers out of business

Prostitution should be legalized and taxed, sex isn't illegal so it has to be the exchange of money. If it was legalized the women could be tested and help cut down on diseases..

War the day you vote to go for war you must sign up an immediate family member to go fight, if your not willing to risk your own familys life then you shouldn't be able to risk other peoples kids..

War should be fought by the military not on the cheap by the national guard, the guard should be used to defend the homeland and occupy military bases while the army fights.


Would release all documents the goverment has including 9/11. kennedy assisnation etc. doesn't think anything should be kept from public

Tax would do away with IRS and go to a federal sales tax

Other revelations
When he was elected into office his first day he had to meet with the CIA and answer questions then they showed him the CIA operative that would be working in his administration and could not be fired or replaced (disturbed him since he didn't realize the CIA operated within US borders)..

When he was drinking with clinton he was told that the main beef between Israel and Pakistan is a piece of land that they both believe hold their religious relics but neither is allowed to dig and both claim they own the land.. Ventura told Clinton it's simple just bomb the hell out of it then they won't have anything to fight over anymore

He wanted Mccain to run for president in 2000 and he would have been the VP on an independant ticket but would not vote for him today as he is not the same person and panders to much..

Won't vote for clinton because there has been a Bush/Clinton in the whitehouse for almost 28 years.

He wanted to run for president and met with Vince Mcmahon to help him get him on the ballot in all 50 states but Vince didn't do it. All 50 states have different requirments to get on ballot as president and he feels they should all be the same as it's a national election so states should be uniform in their standards..

When he went to Cuba against the Bush administrations wishes the CIA followed him all around. He would lift the embargo against Cuba and has respect for Castro as he has stuck to his guns and while most leaders flip flop he is steadfast in his beliefs..

It was a good book and made some suprising revelations about political life and the way things are done. I heard he was thinking of running for Senate from Min. That would make Cspan interesting if he got in

Not a lot, not as much about the planes hitting the building more about the extemely slow response when they found out flights went missing..

The one I agree with most is the war, if your willing to send other peoples children to die you must either have served in a war yourself or be winning to send one of your family members or you can not vote to go to war(Defending the country as he agrees is a different thing he's talking about starting a war)..

The scary thing is the point that as little as 10 people could cripple the US. if you have 5 sniper teams well placed across america they could shut down the country (look what one loon with a gun did)..
