Well, they have to be at 4 teams by 2010....sounds like Biffle will sign a new contract, and Edwards and Kenseth sure won't go anywhere. And the way Ragan has been running lately, it would seem like McMurray would be the odd-man out.

I knew he'd be the one to leave. Now I just wonder where he's gonna go....

As a McMurray fan, I feel I have to chime in here. First off, I'll believe it when it becomes official. Right now it is only a rumor. McMurray is signed with the team through next year, but stranger things have happened. Keep in mind, McMurray got out of his contract early with Ganassi to go to Roush. Either way, rumor or not, this doesn't even surprise me based on how his season has been (especially with the bad luck he seems to have). Next, if this does happen, some of the rumors that I have heard recently for where he will go is:
- To a Nationwide Series team (I don't want to see it happen but if it does it does)
- RCR (He would be in the running for the 33, especially if Bobby doesn't go there. I'm not sure how he would fit in, but this would make me happy as my two favorite drivers would be on the same team.)
- Back to Ganassi (Doesn't look like everything is going so great over there and McMurray did have the best time of his career over there)
- The 26 team moves to Yates (Not sure if this would be an improvement or not since they are with Roush, but he would probably be the #1 driver...nothing against the other Yates drivers)
Keep in mind...these are only rumors that I have heard/read. Nothing is official. It is called silly season, and only time will tell what actually does happen to Jamie and the 26 team.

I'd be happy to accomodate him in the #33 car. That would be sweet.

that was my initial reaction Pete with the opening and all...I was however hoping that that seat would be left open for wimmer...but everything now is just speculation so we'll see!!!
Hate it for mcmurray if that is the case...he always seemed to keep his car clean unlike wreckem ragan who probably holds the record for most cars wrecked and actually being promoted to a top notch ride...must be something to do with his dad ken ragan being in the elite of nascar as he operates the legends series it sounds like
would love to see jamie go to the 6

Ragan's 13th in points, and has been running good all season. Still hung up on his first ever start at Martinsville two years ago?

McMurray doesn't want to go to the fourth Cup car for Childress...that car is garbage. I'm a Scott Wimmer fan and we have all sorts of discussions at Scotts boards about how terrible the 33 car is when it attempts to qualify.

I think the performance of the 33 will improve dramatically with full season sponsorship (General Mills), and actaully trying to run the enitre schedule, rather than the part-time effort that team gets now. I'd like to see Wimmer get another chance at Cup. From all indications, he seems to fit in very well at RCR, even if he is underutilized.
