Anyone else excited about Topps Letterman? Also a question.

I am so pumped for Letterman because they are my favorite kind of card, along with By the Number and Logoman (obviously). A set that guarantees a Letterman in a box is incredible, not to mention cards printed on 14k gold!

That being said, how expensive will these cards be? 8 box cases are going for like $1,300 on ebay... more or less you think?

Also, how come some sites don't even have these up yet (dacardworld)? Aren't they coming out really soon?

    Thanks for reading!

I'm interested in this set as well. I love the concept of the letterman booklet, as well as the 14k gold 1/1 lettermans.

I believe that these would cost around $200-225 a box, so $1300 a case is a fair price. Sites probably don't have this up since there hasn't been a lot of hype for this set.

I like the design...but I'm not excited because of the price tag per box.

I have a couple of questions about this product. I'm just getting back into the hobby after collecting into the late 90's and find that the price that you pay for a box these days is outrageous. With that being said, does anybody think these boxes will skyrocket to like $400 or $500 a box after the release date? And, since I am very interested in buying a case, is it worth it from a return value? ( I plan on selling anything I get other than a Bird) Thanks in advance

melnyk3378: I doubt it very seriously if these boxes will go up in price. Most usually come down after the "newness" wears off.

If you plan on selling everything you pull besides Bird, then you will probably not make a profit by re-selling them.
