$45 trillion needed to combat global warming

Are you starting to come around to my point that Global Warming has nothing to do about saving the world and more to do with making money? No real proof, but let's spend $45 trillion! Can you guess which country will be asked to put up most of the money?
The world needs to invest $45 trillion in energy in coming decades, build some 1,400 nuclear power plants and vastly expand wind power in order to halve greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, according to an energy study released Friday.

Assuming an average 3.3 percent global economic growth over the 2010-2050 period, governments and the private sector would have to make additional investments of $45 trillion in energy, or 1.1 percent of the world's gross domestic product, the report said.
I do agree with the report that we need to get off of our dependence on oil, but I don't agree with spending money of "carbon offsets."

Sad...but looks like it's a great time to buy stock in nuclear energy!

We really need nuclear power. The carbon-catching deals are a bit of a reach, overall I agree with this plan.

Something we both agree on! :) BUT I'm against spending $45 trillion. Overall, I'm starting to research some nuclear power builders so I can buy stock!

$45 trillion over about 50 years isn't that bad, really. If the economy continues to suffer, then, yes, it may be a bit harsh, but it's a world-changing investment.
