AP if a stud in the making, barring further injury. However, he is going to get the LT treatment this season. 8 men in the box, foorcing T-Jack to throw and thiunk quick. If he can be second in the league in rushing with 8 men in the box 80% of the game, he deserves to be theere. But if his numbers fall off drasticly, that will mean his first year was exactly that, his first.
LT is nothing but consistent and has been throughout his career. That included the years when the Chargers were terrible. Has he lost a step? I would say a little but he still gets the job done. Furthermore, he isn't their ONLY weapon anymore. So his numbers may drop because of the help he has gotten. I think sometimes people don't like LT because of his calm demeaner and the swagger he has, the character he exerts, and the talent he has. He's not your "me me me" NFL player like so many are. He carries himself like a professional and peopple hate him for it. Love him or hate him, he rightfully deserves to be #1 because he is nothing but CONSISTENT.Supercollecting: LT, Antonio Gates, Hakeem Olajuwon and Jose Canseco

LT is good but SD had good people blocking for him as well...let's see how he bounces back from injury and what kind impact losing some key blockers has on his performance. AP could be GREAT...if he can stay healthy. Without Minnesota's ability to stretch the field with the passing game allows other teams to stack the box and protect against run...that could hurt his production this year. I like them both but I think there are risks associated with both. That said....I'd still take one of them if they were available!

Peterson had what 4 huge games all year?I doubt he will break the single game rushing record every year.

Come again? They didn't have that line at the beginning of his career. AP has a multiple Pro Bowl linemen in front of him (Hutchinson) to start his career. Also, LT only lost Lorenzo Neal as one of his "key blockers". The line is pretty well intact outside of Jeremy Clary who started 6 games last season. I, being bias, believe he will bounce back from injury. He has even talked about playing a little in each pre-season game instead of sitting every one. The strained knee was the first time he has had an "injury" and it wasn't one that was suffered in the open field. It was a freak injury that happens to plenty of players in a similar fashion. He will be fine and I do believe he will bounce back this season.

understand something...alot of u keep sayin ap only played one year......the list was for the 64 top rb in the league, not a lifetime achievement award.....last seaso he was the best back in the league, obviously this list was based on last year alone, thats y lj and steven jackson were not ahead of him, that is why marion barber hit the top ten....... and the last thats why shaun alexander wasnt in the top 30.....adrian peterson played his butt of last season......i know he didnt have good games all the time.......but the vikes had no qb and no recievers, have u ever heard of stack the line.......now i also saw someone type that lt has a good line.....every good back in todays nfl needs a line to be affective....need examples....look at stephen jackson last year when the rams line was banged up.....my god look at larry johnson after some of his linemen retired......and the sunny side was look how much better jamal lewis looked behind the browns line..he reminded me of his 200 yrd season...... when u rank running backs u cant think of there line and you cant say he is only a rookie.......the main thing is if they can carry the load for 16 games.... can they get that extra yrd......can they turn that screen pass into a td......with all this being said....here is the top 10 in the league.......ladanion tomlinson, brian westbrook, larry johnson, adrian peterson, frank gore, steven jackson, fred taylor, edgerrin james, jamal lewis, clinton portis......now this is in no particular order but these are the only backs that should be discussed for the number 1 spot

That list is bull if Steven Jackson is not in the Top 10? I didn't watch all of the video but where is Westbrook? He should be top 5 anyways.
