State Of The Day - Arizona

    ARIZONA -

Never been there although I have a ton of co-workers that transferred from there. I hear Southern Arizona is like a warzone and in many ways in indistinguishable from the worse parts of Mexico.

I only know of one famous person from there - John McCain. Actually I don't think he is originally from there.

Couple of "odd" things about Arizona

    - Arizona leads the U.S. in copper production
    - The roof of the state capital building is covered in enough copper to make nearly 5 million pennies
    - The real London Bridge is in Lake Havasu City. In the 1960's it was sinking into the soft mud it was built on and England decided to replace it. A millionaire bought it for $2.4 million dollars and had it moved piece by piece to Lake Havasu City and reconstructed it over a man-made lagoon as a tourist attraction.

Don't know much about it, aside that in January it can still be 85. Wouldn't want to live there...too hot...but, then again, I could play basketball outside year-round!

It's one of the fastest growing states in the country, a lot of people enjoy the hot, dry weather...I would prefer Alaska.

I've only passed through in my travels...Flagstaff seemed pretty nice, but Arizona is very barren and boring for my tastes.
