So let me get this straight, North Korea is a rogue state and has sanctions against it by most rational countries. However, now Japan is lifting sanctions (or in other words, giving in to N. Korea's demands) in agreement that N. Korean "re-examine" cases of kidnapped nationals. That sounds pretty vague, not to mention a complete lack of criteria by which these investigations should be conducted.
And whatever happened to the good ol' mantra of "WE DON'T NEGOTIATE WITH TERRORISTS"?
I was surprised by Japan's move here. They're usually pretty strong in their convictions. I mean, it's not like they're ..... France.

That is pretty surprising. Japan is not a country I would expect to do something like that. Everything does seem pretty vague...might be some shady elements involved...or maybe just early reporting.
