Help picking 2008 Case
Hello, I am kind of new here and just started collecting again last year after about 12 years off. I am looking for a case to bust of 2008 football. So far I am looking at elite, stadium club, spx, or UD heroes. I like the fact the stadium club has 5 autos and 5 gu per box (but a case is about 1700$). I know elite is the cheapest of the bunch - I love the look of the cards but don't like the fact that it has only 1 auto per box. Heroes also has a lot of autos but I didn't like the look of the cards last year.
Any opinions? Thanks

i personally would go heroes just because you can pull some good cards from there and because it is not horribably expensive for a case.

Anyone have any more info on Stadium Club? looks like 10 hits per box. Also what about Donruss Threads - Could probably get a case around $800. Thanks again.

That's alot of money so its up to you. I would probley go with Elite or Heroes. Make sure to post the break in the football break section and welcome to SCF

Hey, welcome. Like you, I got back into collecting in 06 after 15 years away... spent the last couple years trying to learn the landscape...Here's my 2 cents...
At first, I was excited about Studium Club too. But then I looked at the checklist. It looks pretty lame. Also, I could be wrong, but I don't think Topps is doing any prime or multicolored GU's in that set so a lot of those hits are going to be pretty worthless.
I like Threads, Gridiron Gear, Leaf Certified. . . I think I lot of fun cards come out of those products especially if you like GU cards. SPX starts to get a little pricey for me but a lot of people like it.
I think a lot of it depends on what you're trying to accomplish by buying a case - do you want autos or GU'd, are you looking to build a set or just get the most hits...
