ok.. here goes:

http://www.hickoksports.com/biograph/florestom.shtml

"....Then AFL was established in 1960 and Flores caught on with Oakland Raiders. He became starting quarterback early in the season and led league by completing 54.0 percent of his passes, throwing for 1,738 yards and 12 touchdowns...

Flores had his most productive season in 1966. Although he completed only 49.3 percent of his attempts, he passed for 2,638 yards and 24 touchdowns in 14 games.

Oakland traded him to the Buffalo Bills in 1967. A backup with Buffalo, Flores was released early in 1969 season and was picked up Kansas City Chiefs.

He spent the 1970 season on Kansas City's taxi squad, then retired as a player.

Now for the link to the actual Super Bowl game, which shows that Flores wasn't even on the roster

Lefty, I don't understand.

Super Bowl III was played in 1969

(Super Bowl III: New York Jets 16, Baltimore Colts 7
Sunday, Jan. 12, 1969)

Super Bowl IV was played in 1970
(Super Bowl IV: Kansas City Chiefs 23, Minnesota Vikings 7
Sunday, Jan. 11, 1970)

So, what's going on?!?!

I don't understand here...Flores may have played in 1969, but the Chiefs didn't get to the Super Bowl in 1969. They got there in 1970, and Flores wasn't on the team in 1970

Pod-
Did you read the top of my post? He was on the roster but did not play. The Super Bowl is played in January. The '69 season had the Super Bowl in '70. That's why the rosters say '69 Division Champs. You were right, I was wrong.
