Lots of stars...lack of perimeter defenders...AGAIN. Kidd starting over Paul or Deron? NO thanks!

I agree. I'd rather have Paul or Deron over Kidd at this stage in their careers. It looks like Stoudemire is still "on the bubble". I want him to be on the team, because I really enjoy watching him play. However, it's not worth it if he's going to put more stress on his previously injured knee.

Tayshaun Prince needs to be in the roster for defense, as well as being a knockdown shooter. Amare needs to step away from FIBA basketball to prevent any risk in re-injuring his knee; we have a ring to win next year, lol.

Jason Kidd being taken instead of Paul or D-Will is a joke; both can do what Kidd can't, which is shoot.

paul and williams will have their turn. i agree both of them are better players, but that isn't always what wins the gold. michael redd isn't one of the best SG, but he is a great role player. Kidd doesn't need to shoot or play d. we need him to run the show right now. paul and williams will get their shot at the olympics next time around ;).

i agree prince is the guy on the bubble we most need. a good perimeter defender who can handle the ball when he needs to. a healthy andrew bynum would have been nice too. i would take him over amare. he has become a great passer playing on a stacked offensive lakers team. we still need an agressive d specialist though.

team usa is 38-0 with kidd playing, he has a veteran leadership role. okay maybe he doesn't need to start but i support that if he does :)

kidd has earned the right to start....he does not have to take a shot to control the game....paul and deron are great point guards but they are not better passers then kidd....the usa team does not need any scoring from there point guard.......kidd is the best choice to start.........please dont look at the mavericks to determine kidds performance..... the mavericks have absolutely no athleticsm......the usa team is fill of guys who can run and be ready for kidd to find them on the wing or wit a no look pass or a alley oop......he want be throwin to bums like dirk or josh horward...we are talkin about lebron and kobe and hopefully amare stoudemire and dwight howard......please give kidd the respect he has earned

jason kidd should be team usa's bench warmer, he is old and can't make the impact he use to. just ask mark cuban and the mavericks lol

Kidd runs the fast break like no other. USA's perfect leader.

Jason Kidd looks to have locked up a roster spot.
