    Bobcats/Nuggets trade

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte Bobcats acquired the No. 20 pick in the NBA draft on Wednesday from the Denver Nuggets.

The Bobcats sent the Nuggets a future protected first-round pick, and now have two picks in the first round. Charlotte also holds the ninth overall pick.

I know someone who'll like this trade, I think! :-)

I understand what the Nuggets are doing...but why? This draft is very deep. There's no guarantee of depth next year. Then again, it could turn out ot be a lottery pick. But Larry Brown is coaching the Bobcats this season!

Bobcats must be worried about Morrison and Sean May.

It's a protected future first rounder so if it's a lottery pick, they won't get it.

Locally, the "experts" say they want Hibbert if he's available but there are a couple others that they like too including the big guy from Florida... Marreese Speights. Don't think Morrison or May factor into this one as much as they just need a big man in the middle if they can get one. Our GM has also said they've explored possibly moving up to #5 as Minnesota has been the team most interested in moving down.

Lots of stuff happening this year, it's fun! :)
