Exclamation Need help with new scanner!!!

I just successfully installed PaperPort Version 9.0 and my Visioneer 9420 Scanner to my HP laptop. I put a card in my scanner and clicked scan. I received the following error - "Unable to communicate with TWAIN device". I don't even know what this "TWAIN" device is, lol. Anyways, if you can help me fix this problem, I'd greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks!

I think the problem is that you're pressing the Scan button, rather than running it from your laptop. Run the CD and follow the instructions and when installed, there should be a "HP Device Manager" that controls the scanning.

The "TWAIN device" is the scanner. Make sure the cable connecting the scanner and your laptop is securely connected, especially at the scanner. Sometimes the connection at the scanner needs just a bit of extra pressure to make sure its connected properly.
