Steve Nash and his friends, including several NBA players, and some of the best soccer players on the planet -- will be playing a soccer game tomorrow afternoon in New York City to raise money for charity.
It's free and open to the public. It will take place at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Nike Field in Sara D. Roosevelt Park.




I cannot believed that I missed this event!! It was 4 blocks away from my house and, until I read the newspaper this morning, didn't know about this. I'm upset at myself because I was near there at 4:00. But, it's great to see Nash give back to the community because the event was FREE!

Looks like Baron Davis was playing goal keeper or was near there at the yellow flag, and I saw Bell with his hat.

Haha, wow I wish I wasn't on the opposite side of the country. Seeing that would seriously have been a highlight of my summer.

Yes, Raja Bell, Jason Kidd, Leandro Barbosa, Baron Davis were the NBA players there. I heard David Lee was there as well, but not sure.

that's cool that they did this to try and raise money for charity. i've read that nash lives in new york during the off season, maybe you'll see him somewhere else :)

I have seen and met Nash before, but never met Baron Davis or Raja Bell in NY before, which was why I wanted to go!

But, watching Nash playing soccer is just....wow. He's always there once a week but no one recognizes him, so it's not as crowded or noisy as this event, lol.

I'm pretty sure it was Robbie Fowler. He was an absolute destroyer of men a few years ago for Liverpool and if I'm not mistaken, he was nicknamed God.
