well no one put it!!! it would be a surprise casue they havent proved ne thing... last year they didnt even make the playoffs... i say if T-jack plays OK... get booty in there... he is a winner

I think it will be a surprise if they do good cause everyone is overrating them so much. Most people however think they are going to do good though so in general it wouldnt be a surprise.

Every year there is a popular "sleeper" team in the NFC, and without fail they always disappoint. Some of the more recent ones were Arizona, Detroit, San Francisco, and this year's pick is Minnesota. With that said this will be the year the 49ers return to glory. The signing of Deshaun Foster will put them over the edge this season. You heard it hear first!

Lol the signing of Deshaun Foster who will be a backup to Gore...they still have no QB or great WRs and another year with a new OC....49ers will finish last in their division. Cardinals or Rams will surprise by taking that division.

No one put it as no one really thinks they will be a surprise! People believe they have the tools to already put together a nice run this coming season.

I agree that the 49ers have a lot of questions, but that is exactly why they will be a "surprise" team. You laugh about the signing of Deshaun Foster, but this offense is perfect for him!
