    Artest...what is he thinking?

"The Kings have been there for me, so the best I could do is stay in my contract."

Artest has decided to not opt out.

Lots of disappointed Spurs and Lakers fan out there!

Well there is always that deal that could have happened 2 years ago, Walton for Artest. But that was before Walton was being way overpaid. Im guessing Artest will probably lose it by mid season and then they will just trade him away for a few draft picks.

yea, Kings would never do Walton for Artest now since Walton has 5 yrs left on his contract.
As much as I love Artest and his toughness, I still think bringing Marion in for Odom would be whole lot better.

Artest doesn't know his value. He could win a championship next season with many teams. Kings will not be contenders so I expect Artest to request a midseason trade.

Artest is now regretting his decision. Wow.

After seeing Elton Brand and Baron Davis unexpectedly put themselves on the free-agent market, Sacramento Kings forward Ron Artest is second-guessing himself for not doing the same.

Artest told ESPN.com on Tuesday that he wishes now he had opted for unrestricted free agency, like Brand and Davis, instead of electing to play out the final year of his contract with the Kings next season at $7.4 million.

I guess he doesn't want to know what it feels like to be a champion.

Artest is a good player, on a not so good team with the Kings. He'll probalby be demanding a trade by the middle of the season.

Leave my team alone you haters, lol. Artest is fine where he's at. Give me back Bibby while you're at it! Brad

The Kings would never be the same.
