Needed: Your Input for a Press Pass Interview

* Do a Prelude to the Dream subset

* Give us at least one set where the logos arent airbrushed

* Keep the current drivers OUT of the Legends set

* tell us what race the sheetmetal etc came from

* every set does NOT have to have a pit stop card of the same 6-8 drivers

* It would be nice to have a new card of Robby Gordon, Morgan Shepard, Mike Wallace with Lorne Wallace lol, and countless others

Yeah I agree that current drivers should be kept out of the legends set. At least as far as having their own cards. Maybe being part of a subset, insert or dual ru/auto like a then and now with a legend and current driver is cool..

Keep up the GR8 suggetions and comments! Through the past seasons many collectors have had some good comments that have actually been put into use in some of the sets. We have to voice our opinions/comments and suggestions to help Press Pass with the direction they will go with the future products!

We'll keep this thread open a little longer and then put together a copy for Press Pass to get an interview session for The Nationals that will hopefully address some of your questions and concerns.

how about suggesting them to not send back hand written numbered cards when you send in numbered cards to be replaced. or at the very least send a coa with them if they are gonna send hand written replacements. it makes it real tough to trade or sell hand written replacements.

I've been told that any damaged card that is returned and is serial numbered of 100 or less cards produced will be machine stamped and no longer hand numbered. I had suggested several times for a letter stating the card number being replaced be sent along with the replacement card for verification/proof. Hoping that they implement it soon if not already happening. It was one nice feature that Upper Deck and Fleer did in the past and hopefully Press Pass will start doing it as well.

I sent in 2 legends cards that I received from Don earlier this year, and they were both returned hand numbered, and with a letter stating that they were replaced, and hand numbered by Press Pass. While this might not be a COA, it would count in my book, as it was signed, by Terri, and had a Press Pass letterhead.

I tend to agree with everything lol! All of these are things I definitely want! The previews are a major pain for me cause all they are are bidding war cards-and i cant spend the insane amount of money some people can to obtain them!

And yeah tell us what event the stuff was used in-if our driver wrecked that race so what lol-at least tell us where it was used or wrecked haha. Thats why I loved the burning rubber this yr! I knew where it came from!

One other idea I had was while looking through some of my basketball cards-They did a thing called aka autographs-where there would be the signature of the player and also the player would print his nickname which I thought was cool!

I would love a carl auto with "Cousin Carl" on it and im sure the stewart fans would like "Smoke". Same with harvick and a bunch of other guys who have nicknames-whatcha think?

I was actually at a Home Depot event where Tony was signing "Smoke" I have 2 diecast that are signed as "Smoke" and one of these days I will get around to taking pictures...yeah right....lol

I really think for me personally, I would be more likely to try to complete a set where there were alot more cards in the set. The master set concept where all the drivers of all the series, crew cards where the crew is actually pictured, owner cards, heck I wouldnt even mind broadcaster cards of Kyle Petty, Hammond, Rusty, Jarrett, and even Dallenbach, (no Waltrip please LOL just kidding).

Heck do a mega set that is issued in series maybe 3 total...Series 1 at the start of the year, series 2 mid season, and series 3 near the end...this would allow updates and driver changes and new rookies, and things like that all with the same design.

Id love to see the Carmelions (or however you spell that) to incorporate lenticular technology so the car "morphs" into the alternative paint scheme. heck make em an insert set of 9 or 12

Brings back memories of the Action Packed days, series 1,2,3, and Upper Deck also. They also included more action shots from the track, whether it be crash shots, or record qualifying speeds, or close finishes. They seem to concentrate to much on pose shots of the drivers. I still like to look at some of the earlier Maxx cards where they have nice shots of cars at the track.
