Ha, what an insult when you write to complain or express something critical of them and they so don't care enough to even read it. Then they assume it's positive and send you a pic. HA! That is classic!

Thank you for your efforts. Having support outside of our community is appreciated very much. Those of us in Seattle have lost something I am unable to even put into words. Everyone saw this coming for a long time and the NBA and our politicians have all failed us. The fan base is here, the fans made every effort to stop this yet once again it is the fans who are stepped all over. Take notice NBA fans, as far as David Stern and the NBA are concerned you are disposable and easily replaced. Forty one years of history means nothing to the NBA. And to Governor Gregoire, Mayor Nickels, Executive Ron Simms and the entire Seattle City Council your days are numbered. You all failed us yet again. Seattle has to be the most mismanaged city in the country. On Wednesday of last week Seattle lost more than a basketball team, we lost a lot more...
I am still in disbelief that this could ever happen, yet it has.

And another thing... from the way I read the agreement. Seattle can only keep the name Sonics & colors, etc. if they get a new team in their current arena in the next couple of years. Ha! What a joke that is. I hope somehow they won't be the Sonics and wear green & yellow in Oklahoma City, at least.

biggle46: Ah, I just know how it feels. ;)
Actually, it's funny to me how it works too. And hopefully, you guys will eventually get a new team but after they leave, they tweak the unis & get new players and that part of it doesn't hurt anymore. ;) But when your new team goes to play them in their place and you see things like their stupid mascot jumping around and hear the television commentators that used to be your commentators, thats where it still stings. Ha! That stupid hornet that jumps on the trampoline and dunks the ball is still doing the same act he's always done and stuff like that brings back the pain of losing them.Last edited by CHillyDoggy; 07-06-2008 at 01:10 PM.

Good letter, but I doubt it'll ever land in his hands. In fact, I doubt anyone involved in the NBA will even read it. You'll probably get an 8x10 photo of a random NBA star in return.

Or you may get a letter of recognition saying "Thank you for being a fan and supporting the NBA." ;-)
