Donruss' New Return Procedure
What do you guys think of the new return process for Donruss?
If you are not aware, you start the claim through the website- which also requires you to register with Donruss. You enter all card information including the specific # of the card when appropriate and what the damage looks like. You then print out a packing slip and include it with the card.
My first impression was "this is great". It's organized and easy online plus you can track the progress. But once I realized that this was just an additional step, not an entirely new process ( to request a replacement, you not only have to complete this process online and print the packing slip, you must also include the appropriate documentation that has been previously required (receipt, wrapper etc)) I only see it being used for higher end stuff. And that may be the idea.
Maybe Donruss is doing this to make the process easier and faster but also to eliminate smaller requests. They still encourage you to send in a bubble envelope as well. Why? The cards are damaged! What's the point now?
After completing all of the information for the two insert cards that were damaged in my box of Elite, I'm wondering if it is even worth the trouble.
What do you guys think?

That's exactly what I wanted to know. I sent out a couple of damaged cards today, we'll see how well it helps. Or if it is just a method to discourage collectors from requesting replacements for minor cards.
