    HORRIBLE Topps Experience

Here are the "hits" from Topps Chrome my blaster:

    H. Garcia RC
    M. Tupman RC
    Lowell Blue refractor
    Manny TCH
    A. Romero RC Refractor
    C. Zambrano Heritage Chrome /1959
    Gomes X-Fractor
    Mickey Mantle Reprint MMSC53
    D. Cabrera Refractor
    Verlander TCH
    Sizemore X-Fractor
    Ichiro TCH
    E. Johnson RC refractor
    E. Meek Blue Refractor RC
Mickey Mantle HR 530 Refractor /400

    Bonus Pack: Ichiro, Wright

Why was this such a horrible experience? 30/30 cards had HUGE creases going down the card. I will never be able to trade any of these with the condition they're in. Anyone have advice on appropriate action? I still have the receipt, packaging, etc.

Hey thats RETAIL FOR YA! I'm not sure what the deal with the entire "Topps Chrome" product. I bought quite a few blasters of 2007 football last year and at least 50% of it was damaged (mostly bent up corners but some creases also). I'm not sure what changed but I bought a ton of it in 2006 as well and the cards condition was great. But take it from somebody that learned the hard way (wasted to much money!) stay away from retail and always go for the HOBBY box! Cards are taken care of alot better and you'll have alot more hits!

yeh...really the only bad experience with topps besides a random card that has marks on it from sealing the pack, but luckily none of them have been nice hits.

beisdes that, i opened a pack of 2006 Artifacts a while ago and the entire pack's corners were jacked, but other than that....pretty good!

Yeah, I've had the occasional pack contain damaged cards, but it's weird to see an entire box.

I just opened some 08 Chrome, and both of my TCH's were damaged. One was obviosuly done afterward (ryan howard), and one looks like it was during production (Wright).

Mailing it off tomorrow, hopefully its fast and just!

Mailing it off? How do you go about doing that? I'll just mail 'em the entire box with the receipt.

I recently had to send a card back to Topps due to damage and they are very good about getting it replaced. What you need to do is, send them the damaged product along with a copy of the original receipt (must have the actual product listed, not just a credit machine receipt detailing the amount paid), the UPC (just send the entire box in your case), the pack wrappers, and a brief letter explaining why your sending them the product.

I sent them a Chin-Lung Hu Auto from 2008 Topps Moments and Milestones and they sent me back a new one in about a week.

    Best of luck!!

    Mike
